How Can Diabetes Be Treated While Suffering From Ehler-Danlos Syndrome?

I am 18 years old. I have Ehler-Danlos Syndrome and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes although diabetes LADA is being queried as metformin hasn t worked and my HBa1c is at 83. My GGT is now 160 and I don t drink. For obvious reasons I m worried about this as I am only 18. My GP has sent referrals to the correct people for all of this but I am worried about what I should do in the mean time, other than eat healthily.

Hi,

You have to consult a physician and rule out type 1 diabetes.

If oral anti diabetic medicine like Metformin are ineffective, you have to start on drugs like insulin.
