How Can Diaper Rash Be Prevented Apart From Cleaning Thoroughly Post Defecation?

I have an 8 year old son that has developed a diaper rash because he will not wipe himself clean after he poops. Yesterday I bathed him myself and showed him how to do it properly with flushable wipes and had to apply Desitin. Do you have any tips that I can follow to get him to take better care of himself?

Hello,

You have to start toilet rash so that diapers can be avoided forever. You can also try calamine lotion or alovera lotion after each change.
