How Can Diaper Rash Be Treated?

Hi Doc, My LO has been crying incessantly since afternoon and we did spot little bit of rashes near the diaper zone. You LO is also been given colic aid thrice a day as she has alot of colic pain when not given. Today after giving colic aid (5 drops), we have her atarax as well. Our dr said that it can be given upto thrice in a day as well and atarax isn t harmful. I urgently want to know if giving atarax right after giving colic aid and then feeding her ina span of 5 minutes will harm her in any way. Thanks a ton in advance

Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Some suggestions about the treatment are:
-Wash your hands before and after every diaper change.
-Check your baby's diaper often, and change it as soon as it becomes wet or soiled.
-Use plain water.
-use a moisturizer
If you use wipes, choose mild ones.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
