How Can Diarrhea And Painful Bowel Movement Be Treated?

Hi.I had a Toral Abdominal Hysterectomy 16 days ago and discharged from hospital 2 days ago after an IVP showed my Urinary system to function well. I only started eating 5 Datsun a few after surgery and only had bowel movement 2 days later which was painful with cramps whether passing air or stools. The hospital gave me Immodium and it stopped 2 days later bUT bowel movements is still very painful and sometimes I have very loose stools and nausea. I also have a pain in my arm that feels like a fracture and pain to the touch like a burn wound. My scar site also looks as though it s separating and showing tissue and getting moist. I don t know what to do.?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You may need some more weeks to 6 weeks to fully recover. As about the wound you can send me a photo of it because I believe it may be infected and not healed yet.

You should have rest, don't carry heavy weights and lie down most of the time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
