How Can Diarrhea And Vomiting Be Treated?

I am taking Augmentin since last Saturday. I threw up the first night and had diarrhea. The diarrhea continued the next day. I thought I may have picked up a stomach virus since I have taken the medication several times before. The diarrhea turned to constipation and then back to diarrhea last night (Friday, almost one week later). Today I had diarrhea but this time with some bleeding. I have been taking medication with food as instructed. Any advice?

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, your diarrhoea is worsening by Augmentin.
Augmentin itself causes diarrhoea as a side effect.
So it should not be taken for diarrhoea.
In my opinion, you should follow these steps for better symptomatic relief in diarrhoea and vomiting.
1. Start probiotic drugs like sporolac.
2. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
3. Take oral rehydration solution (ORS) and zinc tablet.
4. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
