What are possible causes of and treatment for diplopia (double vision) ? I am 75 yeas old this year (all year) and was diagnosed with Parkinson s Disease about February of 2013, and began taking Sinemet (generically Levodopa/Carbidopa, 100/25 mg tablets) at that time. I now take a tablet at four hour intervals throughout the day (24 hours). I immediately developed diplopia. I have worn glasses since the age of about 13, but have never had diplopia in 71 years!
refraction should be done and cause of diplopia be diagnosed can be ambliopia and anisometropia ir paralytic effect of ocular muscle. might be having squint age has been more then tenyearsand patch of either eye is not helping in improvement of vision. to avoid diplopia there will be squint since good vision is accepted by brain accordingly eye will be projected to avoid diplopia. consult eye doctor for examination and advise on treatment of diplopia.
