How Can Dizziness Along With Vomiting And Diarrhea Be Treated?

Once or twice a year I have these episodes. I have done it for years. I just assumed it was always the flu. It generally occurs at the end of each semester, so I kinda thought it was stress related with the flu bug. Anyway the way it starts is with sever dizziness, room spinning and I have to crawl to the bathroom. I passout vomit and have diarrea. This goes on for 1-2 hours. Then I am able to sleep for a good 8 hours. It totally wipes me out. Just curious if this is more that the flu.
