How Can Dog Bite Be Treated?

Yes, I have been accidently bitten by my dogs a few times, been scratched enough to draw blood by them several times and am more tired than usual lately. I m also experiencing occasional headaches and body aches even though I clean the wounds well and use neo-sporran. I probably need a tetanus shot but am not experiencing symptoms of tetanus infection. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Tetanus vaccines are very important in such cases, we use the vaccine before symptoms occur to avoid the disease, once the disease is there then vaccines don't help.

What is very much important is also to get the vaccine for rabies, if you have not already done that.

I think you should see your doctor for evaluation of these symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
