Hi my mum drinks a bottle (maybe more) of vodka a day. She doesn't mix it she drinks it straight. She's drank alcohol for I'd say about 10yrs, the last 6yrs it's been spirits and the last 6months it's been neat. I'm really concern for her health as she's recently admitted to me shes coughing up blood every morning and passing blood when she uses the toilet. I was hoping you could tell me what this means and if I need to get her to the doctors ASAP. I'm really scared drink is going to kill my mum as that's what killed her dad. We as a family have tried numerous times to help get her off drink, she was on the list to have a detox but they said before that she needs to cut her drinking down abit , which she doesn't do saying it's too hard.
