Red discolouration of the lip when you have a habit of biting of the lip can be most probably due to inflammation of the lip caused due to recurring biting of the lip..
So first of all you should consult an Emergency room and get evaluated.. The exact caused needs to be ruled out and then only appropriate treatment can be planned.
For now you can take Vitamin B complex supplements and do cool compresses or ice packs over the lips.. You should avoid biting the lip on the first place as it can worsen the condition.. Also avoid smoking or anything that can irritate the lips. Avoid any lip cosmetics.. You can apply cooled aloevera gel.. Protect your lips from excessive heat and cold air.. Avoid licking or sucking the lip..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
