How Can Drowsiness While On Vyvanse And Topiramate Be Treated?
My doctor has me on 70 Mg of Vyvanse for Binge eating disorder and ADHD. I have worked my way up from 30mg. I am also on Topiramate as well. I eat right I exercise. I am getting plenty of sleep and still struggling very badly with daytime drowsiness. Is there a med that can be added to these other two to combat this problem or would a dosage increase of one or both of the two I currently take be more appropriate? I am really at a loss and I ve went through so many medications before finally finding these two that seem to other wise be working so well that I don t want to change meds again! Any suggestions?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Topiramate can cause drowsiness, dizziness as side effects. So in my opinion, you should discuss about changing Topiramate with your doctor. Leviteracetam is a good substitute for Topiramate and it is devoid of drowsiness, sedation etc.
I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions. Regards, Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
