How Can Drug Addiction Be Treated?

My sister is a drug addict ...Pills omly ..will take any thing she can get her hands on... Causes a lot of grief because she hardly takes a breathe when talking... She s been in wreak after wreak.. Her husband told her Dr if she ever gave her narcotics again he would sue her.. after a head on collision!! Now she has been buying ARTAN on the streets!! It makes her CRAZY...YOU JUST CAN T imagine.. THE ENTIRE FAMILY CAN;T be around her.. now her Dr. is prescribing it to her.. She s very savvy and I m sure she lied to him...At wits end.. What can we do?

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

Reading the history, it seems that your sister is abusing narcotics and benzodiazepines. The best option now is to seek help from a psychiatrist and undergo deaddiction program. Also, if possible discuss the problem with your sister herself so that she can be motivated to seek help.

Dr.Lekshmi
