hello concerned patient, thanks for writing to HCM.
i read your query and understand you have ear blockage and cold as the concern

i also understand that you have seen your ent specialist.

Soliwax contains a lot of ingredient mainly benzocaine, paradichlorobenzene, chlorbutol , turpentine oil etc and is mainly intending for dissolving impacted wax and facilitating removal and also decrease ear ache.

since your ear is clean,i would not recommend using soliwax further.the relief you are feeling is mainly due to benzocaine which is a local anaesthetic.

Please understand a cold,a dental infection,a sore throat etc can cause ear blockage since they are anatomically related.

i would recommend you to take antihistaminics like montelukast and levocetrizine for 5 days, use oxymetazoline nasal drops 2 drops thrice daily followed by steam inhalation.also do a saline gargle thrice daily

also i would suggest to see a dentist to rule out dental infection/caries if any .

you might have to add antibiotics if symptoms of infection persist or increase in addition to the above regimen..that is not needed as of now

Hope this clarifies and will help you out.followup if you have doubts.good day
