How Can Ear Infection In An Infant Be Treated?

Hi, My 1 year old son appears to have an ear infection, I terms of symptoms he has a temperature of 39c, isn t eating and is holding his warm bottle against his ear. We are on holiday form the UK and I was wondering if I could buy Amoxicillin over the counter in Orlando? We fly home on Monday and I would like to try and avoid any complications that the flight may cause due to pressure changes on the flight?

Thank you for trusting healthcare magic
I won't advice you to get antibiotics over the counter. it's true the most common pathogen implicated in ear infections in children is a bacteria but just getting over the counter antibiotics increases the risk for antibiotic resistance.
Please take your son to the hospital for proper investigations and management
