How Can Edema In The Feet Be Treated?

My friend has such bad edema that she is leaking from sores on her legs and feet. She also can t urinate. What could be wrong?She refuses to see a doctor. Is there any relief that can be given? She says that she s not in pain, but I see her wincing.

If your friend cannot pass urine, and has swelling and sores of the legs, it suggests a renal ailment. You will have to convince your friend to consult a Nephrologist, who would carry out the necessary investigations and suggest the treatment.
