How Can Edema On The Legs Be Treated?

I have edema in one leg. I have started wearing a compression s sock on that leg while exercising and the swelling went down however after a few days i found that fluid was leaking through the skin and there is a wetness on the skin. How do I deal with this?

if you have pain and fever something like that it may be cellulitis
other cause may be filaraiais
otherwise it may be primary lymphedema
then you must go and see asurgeon
that woluld help
