How Can Elevated Blood Sugar Levels Be Managed Despite Administering An Increased Dosage Of Insulin?
Hello, I am a type 2 diabetic. Recently my doctor put me on insulin to take at night because I get home from work late and therefore eat late -- my sugar readings are 250, 300+ in the mornings so she thought a small dosage of insulin along with the glipicide twice a day would work. She took me off the tulicity once a week when she did this. Well my sugars are still high and she has increased it to 30 from 10 units at night. For instance I have not ate since 3 o clock yesterday - I tested my sugar at 11:30 am and it was 315 -- why is it so high and I haven t ate? Is there something I can do to lower this?
