How Can Elevated Liver Enzymes Be Treated?

I had an acute hepatic episode in January20th, AST 1500 ALT 800, I am treated with Prednisone and Azathioprine every day. levels are now at 200 and 145. Prednisone started at 40 and is now tapered to 10mg. can you estimate how much longer till the enzymes/bilirubin fall back into range?

This is probably story of autoimmune hepatitis. Autoimmune hepatitis need a prolonged treatment. A lot of people would recover within 2 years of steroids. However, after stopping it, a lot of them again start having the problem again. Also, it's difficult to predict but you should understand its probably a long way, i.e. at least two years and it can take even more time. Some people may need it for very prolonged time.
