Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

High pulse rate occurs when your pulse is more than 100 beats per minute. You need to go to the emergency room if this symptom occurs frequently with chest pain, difficulty in breathing and other symptoms where doctors will perform few tests such as ECG and echocardiogram.

There are many causes for high pulse rate including the following:
1- Stress and anxiety.
2- Fever.
3- Anemia.
4- Physical activity.
5- Overactive thyroid.
6- Electrolytes disturbance.

You can prevent this by avoiding anxiety and stress and avoiding the use of stimulants and drugs.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Take care.
