How Can Elevated Triglyceride Levels Be Treated?

Was prescribed Tricor for my high Triglycerides 2 months ago at 1200mg daily, high Trglycerides run on my Mother s side of the family. I just had a Blood Test and am now in the normal range (136), I am 58 years old and in good shape with regular exercise but I am concerned about my Liver or Kidney damage over a prolonged period of time? What should I expect or any recommendations how to manage? Thanks Greg

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If your triglycerides are normal then relax. Just see that your sugar, thyroid level, and blood pressure level must be within normal range. Avoid fast fatty foods and sweets. You are having exercise then it is fine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
