How Can Endometriosis And Vaginal Bleeding Be Treated?
Hello, I have stage if endometriosis and for the past several months have been experiencing vaginal and rectal bleeding. Today it has gotten a lot worse (10/10 pain scale) and I don’t know what to do. My local women’s hospital has not been helpful. Do you have any suggestions
Endometriosis usually treated initially with progestin therapy. Continues administration leads to anovulatory, hypoestrogenic state by depressing GnRH release.
Treatment of few months causes atrophy and regression of ectopic mass. Initial treatment is followed by cyclic Estrogen and Progestin therapy for 3 to 6 months.
To start treatment you have to take the advice of a gynecologist as these are prescription drugs.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
