How Can Epididymitis Be Treated?

I have been diagnosed with Epididymitis. The doctor has told me not to worry and was sure nothing else was wrong. The pain rises up to my lower abdomen on the right side and My lower back is really hurting and I’m associating this with the Epididymitis but it seems to be getting worse and really aching. Should my back hurt this much ? Thanks

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I appreciate your concern. It appears to be disproportionate with epididymitis. You should book a follow up visit. An ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis. X-ray of the lumbar spine can be advised after examination to look for any other cause.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks,
Dr. Muhammad Sareer Khalil,
General & Family Physician
