How Can Epilepsy Along With Autism And Bipolor Disease Be Treated?
I am searching for help for my daughter. She is 42 & suffers from epilepsy(which is controlled by taking Epilim, Tegretol & Valium daily). She also suffers from Autism, sensory disorders, OCD & bipolar. At present doesn t want to leave the house or get dressed. She is intellectually challenged also. I don t think she is depressed but rather controlling in some ways. Not sure how to help her. She is missing out on going to activities which she loves. She was taking 6 x 5 mg of Valium for years which actually did help control her seizures. She is now only on 3x 5 tabs. Just thinking of asking doctor to increase the dosage. What do you think. ? Hello, I think you need to discuss this with her treating doctor as without examination of patient it is very difficult to suggest you anything conclusively. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Psychiatrist
