Hello dear
I understand your concern
I would suggest to
consult neurologist and undergo complete evaluation, MRI and EEG if needed
Medical therapy depend upon the type of seizure.
Take following advice:
First requirement is first aid therapy.
Give proper position that prevent the regurgitation of fluid, apply mouth gag,
tongue depressor, nasogastric tube, keep airway patent.
Give midazolam and
lorazepam rectally or orally to stop the attack.
Keep the epilepsy diary. Avoid the triggering factors like noise, light, smells, aggression, food.
Give diet that rich in fat and adequate in proteins
Drugs:
Depends on type of seizure.
Phenytoin, carbamezapine and valproate most commonly used drugs
First give one drug then if do not response give combination of two drugs.
If do not response to drugs: surgery is the last options.
Alternative therapy like
acupuncture, relaxation exercise like yoga and walking, psychological intervention can be helpful.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
