How Can Esophagitis Be Managed While On Apriso?

I am newly diagnosed with colitis and started on Apriso a moth ago. I am having Esophagitis that I believe is triggered by it. Are there any hints about taking the medication that prevents this and is there any suggestions for the discomfort that does not interact with the Apriso.

Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I went through your question. As per your explanation you are suffering from Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and Esophagitis. Asprigo does not have so much side effect and off course no serious one either. It can cause minor abdominal discomfort. If you are consuming a capsule you can take it either with food or without food. But, if are taking as a tablet then you have to take it with food or just after taking food. This may minimize its abdominal side effects. if that does not help you should take an antacid and Pantoprazole once a day on empty stomach usually in the morning.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello and Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I went through your question. Asprigo as such does not cause serious abdominal problems except for a minor ones. However if you are taking in tablet form you should take along or just after taking food to minimize the side effects and if you are taking in capsule form you can take if with or without food. However if it does not help take an antacid and take Pantoprazole once a day on empty stomach especially in the morning.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
