Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have esophagitis to the point where I cannot breath when I lay down and I m not getting sleep. My Dr. is of little help. Scoping reveals some damage but the meds are a joke...I am tired. Is it true that the chemical found in Flonase is sometimes swallowed to treat this condition? I want to speak to my Dr. about it.
Esophagitis means inflammation of the lining mucosa of the esophagus. Now, we should determine what the cause it. This will help in having more success in the treatment.
And, most important is to change diet and lifestyle habits in order to reduce this inflammation.
If no right cause if found and no proper action is taken, then, there is no success in the treatment.
It will take a bit longer to get real changes, so should not surrender.
Keep in close contact with your caring doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
