How Can Excessive Sleepiness And Body Ache Be Treated?

I am 35 year male . I was detected TSH of 25 and normal T3 and T4 . This was fasting blood test report . After 3 days again the test was done with fasting and TSH was 15 and t3 and t4 normal . After 2 days i again got it tested without fasting in the evening . Tsh was 11.2 and t3 and t4 normal . My doctor then prescribed me Thyronorm 12.5 for 3 months. I am at a place where i can not test again for next 3 months . Is the dosages given by the doctor is sufficient or i should increse the dosages as i feel very lazy and sleepy . Plus whole body pains .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Thyroid demand depends on body type and metabolic rate of individual. So in general, we start the lowest dose then according to report we may change the doses of Thyroxin.

So, I advise if possible do the test and then think about changing the dosage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
