How Can Excessive Vaginal Bleeding After Using Mifegest Kit Be Treated?

My question is my wife is taken mefigest kit 29 sep 1st tab and other 4th tab 3rd oct taken nd next 2days start bleading countinu bleading is 3 ya 4 days then stop nd again start after 1 week then no stop bleading pls sujest me wat can i do? Pls tell me doctor

Hi,

Mifegest kit is composed of synthetic steroid, which is used for the termination of early pregnancy. After its intake, the effect of this medication lasts for an average duration of 7 - 10 days. Hence, you can experience intermittent bleeding after a few days. Sometimes bleeding or spotting can happen intermittently for up to 3 to 4 weeks. Since the bleeding has started again, it is advisable to undertake ultrasound scan, to ensure that all the products of conception have been expelled out completely.

Kindly consult Obstetrician with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
