Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Increases thirst and increased urination in the absence of diabetes mellitus might have a number of diagnosis. Like diabetes insipidus, psychological polydipsia and others.

An Endocrinologist may help you in this regard. However, tests that are recommended are urine Na and osmolality, serum electrolyte and osmolality, water deprivation tests etc.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
