How Can Facial Patch With White Hair Caused By Vitiligo Be Treated?

Hi, My name is Mohamed, and I was searching through the internet and found you as a skin treatment doctor, I have a patch on my face (vitiligo) and have white hair growth on them and wanted to know if there was a cure for the white hair, please get back to me as quickly as possible, I might be in india later on this month. Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have vitiligo as dark color of the skin is because of melanin pigment produced by melanocytes and in vitiligo the melanin producing cell melanocyte dies due to certain factors which produce white patches. I would suggest you to protect your skin from sun by applying sunscreen with SPF 50. Apply turmeric powder mix with honey for 15 minutes daily. Soak psoralea seeds in ginger juice for three days and have that. Consult dermatologist for proper evaluation. Doctor may prescribe topical corticosteroids , vitamin D supplement, ginkgo biloba or drugs to suppress immune system. Doctor may also recommend procedure for your skin like :-
- Light therapy.

- PUVA light therapy .

- skin graft .
