How Can Fatigue Be Treated In A Cancer Survivor?

I am a 77 year old male. I am a cancer survivor. I had bladder cancer therefore I have had my bladder removed & now have a urostomy bag on my side. I have also had my prostate removed. My question is, would you happen to know of a vitamin that I could take daily to boost my energy level? I am extremely fatigued constantly.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I admire your positive outlook and congratulate you for the attitude.

Now I guess you have fatigue and past history of cancer

There are lots of pathological causes responsible for fatigue

However, let me give my opinion here.

“As” per your clinical symptom is concerned please discuss about following points with your treating doctor.

1)Discuss with him to add B-12 by injection 4 times a week up to one month then once a month

2)Discuss with him to balance your iron level if low by blood transfusion or inject able iron medications

3)Discuss with him to do your fasting blood sugar and TSH test if any abnormal findings' comes then manage accordingly

4)Discuss with him to do CBC with ESR test and check infection if present

5)You cal takes a multivitamin Rejuvit plus for which no prescription needed.

For this you need expert's guidance by your treating doctor only.

Hope this helps.
