sir regards am 54yrs old male with 75 kg weight 5 feet 4 inches height with type 2 diabetes family history latest hba1c was6.3, I am taking metmorfin 500mg bd recently have been diagnosed as faty liver grade 2 to 3 with no fibrosis on fibroscan and sligt increase in liver enzyme sgpt 38; so doctorprescrined me metmorfin 500 mg plus udiliv 150 combination : am i on correct treatment , my lipids were in normal range except triglycerides which were sligjtly raised plz adv

We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, yes you are on correct treatment. Metformin can help with both HbA1c derangement and fatty liver disease.

Other options include fats and lipids restrictions as well as very low sugar intake and avoidance of processed foods. Life style modifications and walks or strenous exercise can help. All these should be complimented with good hydration and water intake.
