How Can Fatty Liver Be Treated?

I have recently been diagnosed with fatty liver disease. My doctor has referred me to a gastro doctor who specializes in this disease. The receptionist at the specialist s office said it would be one month before they can work me in. Should I try to get in sooner? Or is it OK to wait a month?
