How Can Fever Along With Cold And Headache Be Treated?

Hello. We have three daughters...9,8 & 4. We have had the influenza going around in our area and I believe all three girls might have it. It started with our 4 year old yesterday. She has a cough, runny nose, sore body, headache, chills and fever. Her fever has mostly been around 101 but tonight it has gotten as high as 103.5. Our 8 year old has basically the same thing with a fever of between 101-102. Our 9 year old just started symptoms this afternoon. A cough, chills and her fever was 99.8 all afternoon but is now 101.8. I am wondering if there is any reason that we need to take them in tonight?

Hello,

Yes it possible that they may suffering from acute viral rhinopharyngitis with bronchitis.

Need symptomatic treatment with isolation. Use syrp.paracetamol thrice a day for five days. Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved may need antihistamins and antibiotics according to their body weight.

Isolate them from one who are infected.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
