How Can Fever Along With Headache, Neck Ache And Nausea Be Treated?

Have a college teen with mild fever, headache, photosensitivity, neck and upper back ache, and intermittent nausea. Very mild stuffy nose (chronic?). Headache is affected by position - worse lying down. No real GI symptoms, no prior hx of migraines. Symptoms started last night, worse this evening.

Hello,

If such a presenting feature then there is a possibility of meningitis for which tests should be done and rule out it first. Start supportive treatment like Paracetamol, Levocetirizine and Cefixime antibiotics and Pan D.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
