Hi! My daughter is 13 years old. I thought she had a cold -- Sneezing, congestion & cough. It s almost been a week, but she is still coughing. Her health teacher sent her to the school nurse today. Nurse reported no fever and pulse ok, but heard some wheezing in right lung. My daughter had pneumonia in December. Started with a cough, but she had a fever that wouldn t go away. Should we bring her in to see a doctor?
Hi . Thanks For posting on hcm. I would suggest for my patients to consult a doctor in this situation. There are many reasons for cough to know the cause further details to be known like is it dry cough or wet cough is it related to any particular time of day is it disturbing her sleep does she vomit after coughing is the cough harsh to sound all these need to be considered so I would suggest better consult a doctor to come to the root of the problem. Hope this helped you. regards.
