How Can Fever And Chills Be Treated?

Husband was diagnosed at Minute Clinic with an upper respiratory virus. It has been 2 days and he still has fever and chills. He was told to take Ibuprofen every 6 hours for fever.

Some advices that I cann give to you are:
-Rest is an important step in treating upper respiratory infections.
-Drink planty of fluids
-Acetaminophen (Tylenol) can be used to reduce fever and body aches.
-Nasal ipratropium (topical) can be used to diminish nasal secretions.
-Honey can be used in reducing cough.
