My daughter is 2 and half years old. Since Yesterday she is having cough and mild fever and we have given relent and p-120 every 6 hours ,but during the night fever crossed 101 , please suggest if can give meftal p for fever ,if yes in how many doses ?and how do I can I give relent also in how many doses?
Hello Dear. Mepthal-p can be given. Paracetamol is given in doses of 10-15mg/kg body weight/dose. If your child is say for eg 15kg, you can give 150mg-175mg paracetamol/dose. So see how many mg of paracetamol is present. Accordingly approximately you can give.. 3-4 doses per day can be given..
