My 21 year old son has a fever and a stiff neck. He had a high fever on Thurs and then felt better yesterday and went to work. Then he woke up this morning with another fever and a stiff neck. Fever, headache, vomiting, and a stiff neck are signs of a meningeal infection. If your son does have these symptoms, he definitely needs examination by a Neurologist, investigations, and possible admission to hospital, if the doctor so advises, for management. I do not think you should wait, and please take the doctor's advise at the earliest.
