How Can Fever Be Treated While Suffering From Diabetes?

My roommate and I both have fevers. We are both type 2 diabetic. Mine has gone down to 99.8. His was 103 this am and is now 102. We are taking mucin ex DMV and alka seltzer plus. I am placing damp washcloths on his forehead as well. Should I be thinking about taking him to the er?

Hello,

Fever is a symptom of infection and in diabetes there is highest chances of infection.In order to control it take antibiotics like Amoxycillin thrice daily for 5 days.Take tablet of Paracetamol as well.You will relieve in few days and there is no need to worry.
