How Can Fever Be Treated?

I ve had a temperature for 2 day now. Last night it was 102...dropped to 101..now climbing again at 101.7...I have a doctors appointment next Wednesday. Should I wait and see what happens next few days...when is temperature/ persistence emergency room level. Thanks, Kaylan
