How Can Fever In A Child Be Treated?
My son is having fever from last 4 days he is 9 month old. We gave flexion syrup 5ml whenever he has fever and monocef o 50 mg 5ml twice was started 2 days back and finished bottle last night could you tell me how many days we need to give antibiotics ... Today morning also he has high grade fever with pulse rate 140/min when he wake up... Now what to do for his fever?

Antibiotics generally take 2 to 3 days to work so if you have already used it for two days and there is no improvement in his health, if he still has fever on the third day , i would suggest you should consult your doctor for reassessment if he may need another antibiotics or may need blood culture. However if there is decreasing trends in the fever , then you should continue the drug.
