General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Let me tell you that Ibuprofen as an antipyretic is not bad but instead of giving 5 ml TDS, it should be given 7.5 ml TDS.

I will also be better to start an antibiotic such as cefpodoxime 50 mg 7.5 ml twice daily for 3-5 days.

Applying cold water stips in high fever is absolutely fine. I suggest talking to your doctor if her fever continues.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
