How Can Fever In An Infant Be Treated?

My son 1.5 yr old had fever for 3 days.today 4 th day morning he got 102 F.I GAVE MEFTAL and freesium tab(since he got febrile seizure two times for an interval of 3 months at the time of high fever).his doctor prescribed freesium 1/2-0-1/2 .am giving this for 3 days.is there any problem.today mrng also i gave .Another doctor prescribed me to give azithral syp 100/5ml once daily from today.did this syp reduces his fever or we have to take him to the doctor for further tests .please answer me sir.

The Azithral syrup is an antibiotic, and it serves for killing the bacteria that might have been causing a bacterial infection. You should give that to your child. If the child has a fever, you should give him Meftal or acetaminophen syrup. First days of use of Azithral, the child might have a fever, and you can give him Meftal or acetaminophen. If the fever continuous high for more than three to four days, you should go to the doctor. A febrile seizure is not something to be worried since the fever is under control.
