Herpetic Gingivostomatitis is a viral infection caused by Herpes simplex virus and it takes round 2 weeks for the symptoms to resolve. I would prefer Tylenol over Motrin to reduce fever.. Recurring fever is not abnormal in this case and will resolve gradually as the infection will resolve.. Along with Acyclovir and Tylenol you can give her a soft and cool diet.. You should feed her with plenty of fluids.. Apply Lidocaine gel of the sores are painful.. Maintain a meticulous oral hygiene..
She will get better soon..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
