How Can Fibroids In The Ovary Be Treated?

i recently done my sonography and came to know that there is 3 cm fibroid in my right ovary i am tensed and doctor suggested me to take 3 month contraceptive medicines which can help to reduce the size i just wanted to know how safe it is i am 36 years old having 6 years old son with normal deliver recently taking the medication for slight symptoms of arthritis
