Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have fibromyalgia and pain mgmt tried all meds and have narrowed it down to narco. But narco oxycodone has totally rotten my teeth. Amphethamine helps my pain better then narco but no doctor is ready to prescribe that as I am 51 yrs old. I am unanable to work due to severe pain
I'm not so sure your rotting teeth are due to the norco and the oxycodone. It's more likely that this is due to the amphetamines. You're absolutely right that no doctor is going to prescribe you amphetamine, nor should they, as there really isn't any health benefit. The amphetamine may be helping your pain when you are high, but once you come down it's likely making you more sensitive to pain.
In all honesty, although the pain from your fibromyalgia may be intense, it sounds like you're taking multiple substance, some of which are illegal, and you may have a drug addiction problem. I'm sorry if this is harsh, but I think you need to hit reset, get off all the drugs, and get into a rehab program. This may also help your fibromyalgia.
I hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.
