How Can Fibromyalgia Be Treated?

I think I might have fibromyalgia. I am sore and tired but can t sleep more than 4 hours at a time or I wake up miserable. Can you tell me anything I can do to relieve these symptoms? BTW my mother was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 15 years ago and I noticed that I have the same symptoms.

Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. The symptoms of Fibromyalgia are generalised pain, fatigue and sleepiness. It is mostly due to genetic heritage. You seem to be having fibromyalgia as you said that your mother has it. But it can be only diagnosed on physical examination. There isn't a cure for fibromyalgia but the symptoms can be controlled with the help of Medicines. You may be prescribed a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and non steroidal anti inflammatory drug to control your symptoms. I hope that answers your question.
