How Can Flu Be Prevented?

My 8 year old son lives with mother most of the time. She thinks she had the flu 3 days ago, but was not tested. Her symptoms have motley subsided and my son has not shown any symptoms himself. I am due to pick him up today. I have a 2 year old and 11 month old at home with me. Can my son still be a carrier of the flu? Is it safe for him to be around them? Thank you!

Hello,

If the lady had no flu symptoms, even the little baby has no symptoms like flu. Then is no chance of flu to any other member. Do not worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Naveen Kumar Kaushik
