my husband has a rash. It started on his right hand and looked like pin pricks. These would swell and burst open and bleed. It is now spreading up his right arm around his neck and down his left arm. The spots on his arms are not like the ones on his hands they are red blotchy and burn
Hi. As per your case history your husband is having insect bite dermatitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Wear full sleeve clothes to avoid further such episodes. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
